Frequently Asked Questions

What size bolt holes can I get in the blades?
For a 30 and 50 size helicopters the bolt hole sizes that are available are 3mm or 4mm, for 60 and 90 size we have 4mm or 5mm.

What size blade grip mounts are available?
You can choose from 12mm or 14mm.

I heard that these blades are guaranteed is that true?
Yes, we guarantee them to be smooth and perfectly balanced or your money back. For that matter, if anyone is not 100% satisfied with a set of blades for any reason, they can return the undamaged blades within 30 days of purchase to Campbell, MFG. for a full refund or we will build another set to try and tailor the weight to someone's individual taste!

What are these blades and what are they made out of?
The blades are hi performance radio controlled helicopter main blades. They are wood core with carbon fiber laminate, which results in a very rigid and durable main blade. All the wood is hand selected and graded, and all the blades are built in pairs from the very beginning. Each set goes through a series of four balancing procedures that ensures they will be as exact as possible. Then, the final balance brings them to within 1/10th gram and corrects the chord-wise and span-wise C.G. They can be bolted on and flown with no additional balancing.

What is the hole in the leading edge for?
Each blade has a 1/16th hole in the leading edge and this hole is strictly an indexing point for each of the manufacturing processes.

What is the dull spot on the underside of one of the blades?
Each set of blades has a master blade and the other blade is brought into balance by the means of an insertion of a lead weight 3/8th in diameter, which is then covered with epoxy and trimmed flush, this leaves a dull finish on the plug. This is normal to all sets of V-Blades and is not a manufacturing defect.
